On 14-15 October, Efma will hold its annual Innovation Summit at the Pullman Paris Centre. Here, banking executives from all over the world will come together to learn about leveraging technology for growth and transforming ideas into turnover.
At the event, business technology and innovation specialist Alfons Cornella will present a speech titled ‘Disruption is normal…in finance too!’
“Banking is facing what looks like the most dramatic change since its inception,” said Cornella. “Banking is increasingly becoming a software-based business. This means that many new competitors can enter a field hitherto dominated by incumbents. However, interestingly enough, the only way that banking can survive may well be linked to avoiding becoming merely a software-based business. In a rather more complex world, having experts that help us navigate the cumbersome waves of modern finances may become an unavoidable need.”
In the presentation at 9 a.m. on 15 October, he will explore the idea that radical is the new normal, and what we can expect to see in the future of banking.
The event will also enable chief operating officers, heads of business lines, managers and more will to interact with the ecosystem of innovation in banking including with fintechs, bigtechs and other innovation leaders.
Attendees at the event can also enjoy a range of networking opportunities and many programmed sessions with executives from Banco Santander, BBVA, BNP Paribas, CaixaBank, Lloyds Banking Group, Mizuho Financial Group and many more, hopefully able to leave the event knowing about the latest innovation trends, how banks can grow their business and how artificial intelligence and more can contribute to profit.
